Happy New Year!

Our first Chamblee Business Association meeting of 2012 is Thursday, January 19th.  Our guest speaker is Leng Leng Chancey, Director of Development at the Center for Pan Asian Community Services (CPACS).  She manages and oversees the day to day  public relations, marketing and fundraising efforts of CPACS.  If you are not familiar with CPACS you will be amazed at all they do for our community.

About CPACS

The Center for Pan Asian Community Services, Inc. (CPACS) was founded in 1980 under the vision that “people need people”. Our mission is to create and deliver culturally and linguistically competent and comprehensive health and social services. We are the first, largest and oldest organization in the Southeast to focus on issues and concerns of Asian Americans, especially women, children and families with low incomes. Majority of our clients are limited English proficiency groups, which includes Afghani, Bhutanese, Burmese, Cambodian, Chinese, Ethiopian, Karen, Korean, Hmong, Indian, Iraqi, Laotian, Mexican, Nepali, Pakistani, Rwandan, Somali, Sudanese, Thai and Vietnamese right here in our own back yard.  Over the last 30 years, CPACS has served over 150,000 individuals in our community, and a majority of them reside in DeKalb County.  Currently, CPACS serves an average of 2300 clients a month.
